Our HR & People Development team ensures that we create an environment that enables our colleagues to deliver in their roles and fulfill their potential. We achieve that by providing outstanding development opportunities and fostering a culture of both personal and professional learning.
Our people are our most important asset. We’re constantly looking for new ways to improve our employee experience – since moving into our state-of-the-art premises at Delaware Drive, we have introduced a Health & Wellbeing centre which offers physio, massage and a range of health advice and assessments. We have an extensive learning and development offering open to all colleagues which we have enhanced for 2017 and are busy working on a platform for colleagues to take ownership and drive their own career path.
The HR team operates at the core of the business, looking after colleagues’ health, wellbeing, recognition and rewards. Many of our colleagues have grown their careers within the business and have had fabulous opportunities to not only work here in the UK but to take those skills further into the wider VW Group.
People in our HR team genuinely enjoy the opportunities that they have to support the development and recognition of people across the business. That’s why we have introduced a recognition scheme called ‘Living our Spirit’ that empowers colleagues to say ‘thank you’ to another colleague. In the first twelve months, more than 1000 rewards have already been given out.
