We’ve made 76 internal promotions since 2015, which equates to almost 10% of our entire workforce. It doesn’t end there. The aim of this programme is to develop individuals who demonstrate the potential for leadership and management roles in the future. It is a comprehensive, 12-month development programme which focuses on three key areas:
Networking is encouraged between participants with an initial 2-day launch workshop as well as ongoing working lunches to share learnings with senior members of the VWFS management team. We have had incredible results from TCAL – in fact, 85% of participants in the 2014 programme were promoted within a year.
TCM helps to develop individuals who we believe have the potential and capacity to lead at senior management level in the future. You will learn how to lead teams, lead commercially and lead organisations, as well as building a better understanding of your own leadership qualities. The highlights of the programme include:
Our Leadership Development strategy aims to nurture fully rounded business leaders who can inspire others, improve performance, think strategically and make key decisions with confidence. The combination of mentoring, formal training and off-site learning experiences are designed to encourage individuals to think beyond their role, to think differently about leadership and to visualise exactly how they can help to carry the business forward in the future.
